Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Welcome. I'm Matthew, a licensed clinical social worker and registered yoga teacher with a practice rooted in compassion, evidence-based care, and cultural awareness. My goal is to help you move from surviving to thriving whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship/work challenges, or identity exploration.

I specialize in working with men, people of color, and the LGBTQIA+ community, creating a safe, affirming space to unpack emotional pain, rewrite limiting beliefs, and reconnect with your purpose. I integrate modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, and somatic/yoga-based practices to support your growth in body, mind, and spirit.

My approach is active and relational I don’t just listen; I collaborate with you. Whether we’re exploring ADHD, masculine/racial identity, setting boundaries, work/school challenges, healing intergenerational wounds, or simply trying to get through a hard week, I meet you with empathy, insight, and tools that work.

I hold a masters degree from Boston College a top ten school for clinical social work and an undergraduate degree in Neuropsychology from DePaul University. I have wanted to be a therapist since I was a sixteen and have continuously worked towards that end. I am excited to meet and work with you.

I offer 15 minute consultations if you would like to know more. Matthewqenglishlcsw@gmail.com (708) 831- 3550

I accept BCBS, United, Oscar, Oxford, Carelon, Quest, and Aetna insurance.

I’m also a licensed clinical supervisor for pre-licensed clinicians seeking LCSW hours.
